Final Exhortations
 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

 8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

The Two Ways
 1 How happy is the man
    who does not follow [a] the advice of the wicked,
    or take [b] the path of sinners,
    or join a group [c] of mockers! (A)

    2 Instead, his delight is in the LORD's instruction,
    and he meditates on it day and night. (B)

    3 He is like a tree planted beside streams of water [d]
    that bears its fruit in season (C) [e]
    and whose leaf does not wither. (D)
    Whatever he does prospers. (E)

    4 The wicked are not like this;
    instead, they are like chaff that the wind blows away. (F)

Coronation of the Son

    4 I cry aloud to the LORD,

 1 Answer me when I call,

    be gracious to me and hear my prayer.

    2 How long, exalted men, will my honor be insulted? (AP)

    and pursue a lie?

    3 Know that the LORD has set apart
    the faithful for Himself;
    the LORD will hear when I call to Him.

 1 Listen to my words, LORD;

    for I pray to You.

    3 At daybreak, (BC) LORD, You hear my voice;
    at daybreak I plead my case to You (BD) and watch expectantly.

    4 For You are not a God who delights in wickedness;
    evil cannot lodge with You. (BE)

    5 The boastful cannot stand in Your presence; (BF)
    You hate all evildoers. (BG)

    6 You destroy those who tell lies; (BH)
    the LORD abhors a man of bloodshed and treachery. (BI)

    7 But I enter Your house
    by the abundance of Your faithful love; (BJ)
    I bow down toward Your holy temple

Psalm 23

The Good Shepherd
A Davidic psalm.
 1 The LORD is my shepherd; (A)
    there is nothing I lack. (B)

    2 He lets me lie down in green pastures; (C)
    He leads me beside quiet waters. (D)

    3 He renews my life;
    He leads me along the right paths [a]
    for His name's sake. (E)

    4 Even when I go through the darkest valley, [b]
    I fear [no] danger,
    for You are with me; (F)
    Your rod and Your staff [c] —they comfort me. (G)

    5 You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies;
    You anoint my head with oil; (H)
    my cup overflows. (I)

    6 Only goodness and faithful love will pursue me

Psalm 24

The King of Glory
A Davidic psalm.
 1 The earth and everything in it,
    the world and its inhabitants,
    belong to the LORD; (L)

    2 for He laid its foundation on the seas
    and established it on the rivers. (M)

    3 Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD?
    Who may stand in His holy place? (N)

    4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, (O)
    who has not set his mind [f] on what is false, (P)
    and who has not sworn deceitfully.

    5 He will receive blessing from the LORD, (Q)
    and righteousness from the God of his salvation. (R)

    those who act treacherously without cause

Prayer for Vindication
Davidic.
 1 Vindicate me, LORD,
    because I have lived with integrity
    and have trusted in the LORD without wavering. (BF)

    2 Test me, LORD, and try me;
    examine my heart and mind. (BG)

    3 For Your faithful love is before my eyes,
    and I live by Your truth. (BH)

    4 I do not sit with the worthless
    or associate with hypocrites.

    5 I hate a crowd of evildoers,
    and I do not sit with the wicked. (BI)

    6 I wash my hands [m] in innocence (BJ)
    and go around Your altar, LORD, (BK)

    7 raising my voice in thanksgiving (BL)
    and telling about Your wonderful works. (BM)

    8 LORD, I love the house where You dwell,
    the place where Your glory resides. (BN)

    9 Do not destroy me along with sinners,
    or my life along with men of bloodshed (BO)

    10 in whose hands are evil schemes,
    and whose right hands are filled with bribes. (BP)

    11 But I live with integrity;

Psalm 27

My Stronghold
Davidic.
 1 The LORD is my light and my salvation—
    whom should I fear? (BT)
    The LORD is the stronghold of my life—
    of whom should I be afraid? (BU)

    2 When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh, (BV)
    my foes and my enemies stumbled and fell. (BW)

    3 Though an army deploy against me,
    my heart is not afraid;
    though war break out against me,
    still I am confident. (BX)

    4 I have asked one thing from the LORD;
    it is what I desire:
    to dwell in the house of the LORD
    all the days of my life, (BY)
    gazing on the beauty of the LORD (BZ)
    and seeking [Him] in His temple. (CA)

    5 For He will conceal me in His shelter
    in the day of adversity;
    He will hide me under the cover of His tent;
